While Clive rescued his allies in the main quest prior to Final Fantasy XVI, there was nothing he or his companions could do for the people of Canver Free Cities. To make matters worse, Barnabas shows up and proves to be more than Clive can handle. However, despite the fighting pushing south, Garve and Joshua managed to rescue Clive while Jill held his ground. Players can prepare enough Final Fantasy XVI Gil in the game.
With Jill captured, Clive worked with his allies to find a way to catch up to Barnabas and his flagship. But Meade's ship was missing a key component that would not allow it to catch up fast enough. Here's what Final Fantasy XVI players can expect when they start the main quest, "Song of Hope."
Talk to Otto
As with many of the main scenario quests starting from the hideout, the player needs to find Otto and talk to him. Before doing that, though, it might be a good idea to visit Charon and Blackthorne first. Charon will have powerful armor such as the Rune Crescent, Rune Belt, and Rune Blade available for purchase. Blackthorne can further enhance these new gear. Blackthorne also possesses a recipe for a powerful set of vambraces called the Sons of Ouroboros, but this requires an Orichalcum, a Dyed Loincloth, and a Morpole Blossom.
Players can also pursue several new side quests. For players looking for an extra challenge, there are also new Notorious Marks to hunt and kill. When you're ready to advance the story, talk to Otto in Chaos. He tells Clive that anything that belongs to Sid will go to his daughter Mead. Go down to Mid's workshop
find the missing part
Check the stack of books on the left, then check the small satchel on the table on the right. Next, check the statue between the first two checkable items on the shelf. Afterwards, return to Otto and talk to him about the search. Finally go to the orchestra to trigger the cutscene. Interact with the orchestra and find strange objects stuck in the gears.
After the cutscene plays, new side missions will unlock. This side quest is called "The Blacksmith's Bruce III". This is the third quest involving Blackthorne, and it rewards the player with a recipe for crafting the Ouroboros Belt. There is also the side quest "Excuse me sir, can I have some Morpole?". After completing this side mission, players will receive higher consumption efficiency rewards.
back to ironworks
When you are ready to continue the main storyline, open the world map and head to the ironworks. Doing so will trigger a cutscene, and Meade's pride and joy, the Enterprise, will get ready to sail and chase Barnabas' flagship. Of course, there is one small issue that needs to be dealt with first. A large group of enemies discover the location of the ironworks and attack.
Defeat a few waves of enemies, a cutscene will play, and players will then have to fight off repeaters of a bunch of bosses they killed in previous main scenario missions. Fortunately, these clones are just pale imitations of the Sleipnir the player has fought before, and are easy to take down. The tricky thing is that there are so many people attacking at the same time. Continue fighting them until a cutscene is triggered and the player will begin the next main scenario mission.
