Some quick estimates demonstrate that Kobe should end this coming year with around 29,600 points if he averages 25 points per game over the past 36 games of the year (we'll leave the playoffs from consideration here). If he were to always score 25 points per game next season (assuming a complete 82 game season), Kobe would pass Wilt Chamberlain (31,419 career points) before the end of the season.
