I actually don't really care. I played RS2 within my teens

I actually don't really care. I played RS2 within my teens (mid-30s today ) primarily because I had been interested at the botting aspect. I only got into playing RuneScape after RS3 came out. Because it was nearer to what I'd played when I was younger, I tried playing OSRS, but I was turned off by how long it took to walk to areas. It felt like I spent more time walking than I did really doing anything, and I am an adult with a lot happening, so that it felt like I was wasting too much of my free time never actually having to play RuneScape.

Only although I play with a OSRS prefer the battle of RS3 considerably more. It is actually engaging and there's some skill involved. A whole lot of OSRS players see how simple it is to afk something and just say combat all is that. Well gwd1 is old obsolete content of course it's easy today because it is not the top lvl pvm such as it still somewhat is at OSRS. Another main difficulty is eoc was complete shit when it first came out and people think it is still the same and shit talk it without ever actually logging in to see it is quite different from when it was launched. Both games have positives but for me personally the combat in OSRS is dull afk for all.

You are not the first to mention that EoC is extremely different than if it was first released. It definitely makes me need to log in and give it a try again, see if it appeals to me more than it did those years ago.The battle in OSRS is boring and afk if you look at something like: slayer. Sure slayer makes you fantastic cash but the ability is mostly just sit in a spot and kill x quantity of x ray monster. I agree with this. But when you look like GWD the nightmare the map at pvm content, combat gets really fun. You need to learn mechanics for every boss, you need to learn to prayer flick to efficiently hardcore many pvm. My question being: Is all battle in OSRS discovered to be afk and dull to you due to the disposition of EoC, as in, has EoC influenced your view of battle, or did you feel this way before EoC too?

I don't play OSRS because I've grown to enjoy EoC, as well as just playing the unbroken RuneScape. I feel like I'm playing. I remember when the choice came up and I had to choose older school or evolution of battle. Long term, I'm happy where RuneScape went. Most bothersome things like other have mentioned are mtx, but the bossing and quests are so much pleasure that I would say the pros outweigh the cons. I like the idea of a game, and runescape.
